Banana Berry Orange Smoothie

Avocado is a delicious addition to this or any smoothie, adding a super smooth and creamy texture. In addition, the romaine lettuce adds tons of beneficial nutrients such as vitamins K and A, and folate, and nicely cuts down the sweetness of this smoothie.

 

Ingredients

 

1 cup water

4 1-inch pieces banana, preferably frozen

1 small orange or mandarin orange

1/2 cup frozen blueberries

1/4 to 1/2 avocado

1 tbsp seeds such as hemp, flax or chia

3-4 large romaine lettuce leaves

1 scoop vegan vanilla protein powder (or other high-quality protein powder)

 

Directions

 

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. This smoothie makes a delicious and healthy breakfast that should keep you full for hours.
